I would like to take a moment to highly recommend the MedInformatix Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records to any practice currently in search/need of a medical software.
We are a small, but busy primary care practice in North Carolina. Upon our initial search for a program to take us to the next and ultimate level of care, we needed a computer program to transition from paper charts to EMR. After many reviews, demos and physically going to other practices and conferences to review and try the different PM/EMR programs, we chose MedInformatix. We began our transition during 2003 by choosing what we considered to be the best program based on the ease of use, ability to customize every aspect of the program to our needs as well as the full integration between the Practice Management and EMR. We were also able to be fully integrated with our lab. We are able to send orders and receive results via MedInformatix. The results are dropped directly into patient charts and messages sent to the appropriate provider for review. The scanning of outside documentation has also assisted in the ease of provider to patient care. There is no running out of the room to find a piece of paper leaving the patient unattended, the provider simply goes to the chart and reviews the information while in the room.
The Practice Management side of it works well also. We are able to do invaluable reports for review. The ability to document in the necessary areas has worked out great. We document insurance and patient conversations with ease by the information being entered in collection notes. This also documents dates and times of conversations for reference as well.
Although both of these components have helped us tremendously, we would be nowhere without the amazing staff at MedInformatix. I cannot say enough about the staff I have had the pleasure to work with over the years. Both EMR and Practice Management staff have assisted us in many situations. They have always extended their time and incredible abilities to us with ease and kindness. They are very quick to contact us back at any time. I am very pleased with their attentiveness to our practice and appreciate them. We have yet to find a problem they cannot fix. Their knowledge of this program has impressed me as well as the physicians in our practice. The customer service alone is very impressive.
