Testimonial

"The implementation team has done an exceptional job here, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that we really enjoy working with them.  There does not seem to be any request we can make that they can’t implement, and they accept all challenges with great enthusiasm.  I don’t see how the “go-live” could have gone any simpler and given the complexity, this is no simple implementation.  Truly, we will miss having them here."

MEDINFORMATIX BRANCHES OUT TO ORTHOPEDICS, CUSTOMIZING ITS SOFTWARE TO NEW FIELD

Software Solutions Award Winner Installs Made-to-Order System for Florida Practice

  • LOS ANGELES, CA, MAY 2008 -- MedInformatix, a leading provider of IT solutions for the healthcare industry, announced today that it had broadened its reach as a practice management systems (PMS) and electronic medical records (EMR) provider to include the orthopedic field. Dr. John Kagan, of Kagan, Jugan and Associates, Ft. Meyers, FL, is one of the first orthopedic sites to implement the MedInformatix solution to create a customized, paperless office, interfacing all billing, insurance and medical data.

“Through our extensive work with oncology and radiology practices, we have been able to develop a unique template that is customizable to other medical fields. No matter what the specialty of the physician or the medical group, MedInformatix analyzes the needs, organizes the office and patient data then takes it to the next electronic step,” said Tom McGonigle, president, MedInformatix. “Dr. Kagan sought a versatile software system whose open architecture could streamline his office workflow as well as integrate elements of his orthopedic specialty. Working side by side with Dr. Kagan, MedInformatix provided the flexible system his expansive practice demanded.”

After initial workflow analyses, MedInformatix spent two weeks integrating its software and tailoring its system to Dr. Kagan’s specific requirements. Among his needs were:

o Minimal clicks to access patient records

o Detailing of office procedures including epidurals, lumbar facet blocks and trigger-point injections

    o In-depth patient demographics

    o Radiology specifics

MedInformatix incorporated these specific requests to its software which already included insurance and billing information. Dr. Kagan’s next step is to add voice recognition to the EMR solution. Combining DragonSpeak with MedInformatix is just another away Dr. Kagan and his staff can expect to move quickly through the Electronic Medical Records.
